1.   Share one thing that stood out to you in this week’s sermon and why.

2.   Mary stood outside the tomb grieving the loss of Jesus because she had yet to realize that He had resurrected (John 20:11). What circumstances occur in our lives that we often grieve over when God has already worked it out?

3.   When Jesus called Mary by name (John 20:16), she recognized Him immediately. How does truly believing that Jesus knows and calls our name change us and help us to see Him differently?

4. After Jesus’ resurrection, Mary expected life and discipleship with Jesus to continue as it had before, but He had bigger plans in store. How do we often limit our perspective of what Jesus wants to do in our lives?

5.   According to tradition, Mary traveled the world sharing the gospel with many people after Jesus’ resurrection and ascension. How does Jesus’ resurrection power have right here, right now implications for our daily Christian living?
